City & Guilds conducted a survey of 900 people in 20 fields of work on their perceived balance between work and personal life. Results are shown in Table 1 below.

 

Questions:


Q1. What information would be needed to help us understanding the reliability of the reported percentages?


Q2. It appears health-care workers had a lower percentage of perceived balance between work and personal life than salespeople. What can we do to examine if the difference is genuine or by chance?


Q3. Will your suggested method in Q2 work always? If not, under what condition will you be refrain from using it? If yes, why?
